t's difficult to tie down any
of the drivers from Mad Dog Racing for comment, and the
reason is obvious. They are always racing.
In yet another venture by what may
possibly be the busiest, and most diverse race team in the
country, MDR's Nascar entry took to the track in round 1 of the
first Ausfactor VHR Stockcar series for 2009. Initially a three
car team personal commitments kept both Triggerfish and MDR-Quasi
off track for the season opener, so it fell to Maxcat to fly the
flag solo, in the #86 'Aussie Web Radio' Dodge.
Finding himself in good
position Maxcat registered a 14th place overall, after crossing
the line 10th and 14th in the two round heats. Team boss MDR-Quasi
said only "Maxcat was put in an unusual position where he was
the single team entry to run on the day, and was entrusted with
getting the job done for Mad Dog Racing and our sponsor, and he
acquitted himself well, which we knew he would. I have all
the confidence in the world in him and he's done pretty well this
season so far." |
