Monday, March 2 2009 - Adelaide, South Australia

After 129 gruelling kilometres around the streets of Adelaide the MDR FVRV8 championship still maintains no clear favourite, yet continued to present at least 4 possible series champions, with one round left in the series.

Despite technical issues Triggerfish continued the form that has him maintaining top spot in the series, despite a determined drive from V8AA drivers Freeky & Nibiru. The 1-2 by team V8AA cuts the series lead established by Mad Dog Racing's Triggerfish to only 10 points, coming into the final round on the infamous Detroit street circuit in two weeks time.

In an exciting battle to fill the remaining top 5 positions were MDR team mates Maxcat and Quasi, who swapped positions a handful of times throughout the 40 lap enduro, with Maxcat claiming 4th spot, managing to hold off a storming Quasi who was closing the gap by 2 seconds per lap in the final stages. This round saw a continuation of an inner team rivalry that has been prevalent in all 5 rounds. "Yeah, it's all in fun between Maxy and I." stated team boss and car #81 driver MDR-Quasi. "Maxcat has improved hand over fist throughout the series and as much as I could do with getting the better result, for my own peace of mind, I'm happy to see that it's another team car edging me out, and in this instance that puts three MDR drivers in the top 5 of the same race.....gotta be happy with that."

Also making their way through the field over the last couple of rounds are ADF-Dizz and Aus-Butakup, who continue to impress with consistent and determined performances on track.

Sadly it was not all easy gong for several drivers in the field with [V8AA]JackTheStripper, MDR's Richo1, and Aus-Hellraiser all recording a DNF, and in Hellraiser's case for the second round in succession. All three set the track alight in practice and qualifying, recording lap times in the 1:27s, but succumbing to technical issues ending what promised to be a very competitive challenge for round honours.
